Research Faculty in Residence |
The privilege of becoming Research Faculty in Residence is granted to highly qualified researchers, with proven results, significant funding, publications, national presentations, and an enduring commitment to preventing and overcoming health disparities. Individuals meeting these standards of excellence are granted the privilege to apply to become Research Faculty in Residence by special written invitation of the Center's Executive Director.
All Research Faculty in Residence are expected to contribute to the Center’s mission, whether through the mentoring of young investigators, conducting research, or providing formal educational programs that support the Center's mission, goals, or objectives.
Further, all Research Faculty in Residence are responsible for recruiting qualified multidisciplinary investigators to participate in projects aimed at improving minority health and eliminating disparities. Upon the request of the Center's Executive Director, Research Faculty in Residence are also expected to advise on health policy and related matters, in addition to increasing the number of researchers from ethnic, racial, and low socioeconomic groups, who contribute to health policy decisions and health services projects.
